I am in no way trying to perpetuate the “pretentious film major” stereotype as I write this, but I would estimate that about 75% of the music I listen to comes from movies I’ve watched. Music, sound production, and memorable cinematic scores can truly elevate a film like nothing else can. There’s truly nothing better than being able to listen to a film soundtrack after watching the respective film; it’s like being able to live your own truth through a film.
